Jim was one of the sweetest men I ever met and Joni is a jewel. They became like family to me during my time as Director at the Arc of Anderson County. Jim's presence was like a ray of light when he entered the room and he will be deeply missed and will always hold a place in my heart.

Mr. Gary was such a welcome addition to Robertsville Chess Club. He was a wonderful mentor to our students, and has been missed these past few years. My deepest sympathy to your family.

My condolences at your family loss. Our families have been connected over a great many years as Walter Gary was raised by my great aunt, Arwin Wallace James. May the blessing of knowing God's blessings that are secured for His children be of comfort to you.

My association with Jim began when he joined the Oak Ridge-Breakfast Rotary Club. Jim was one of our active photographers and always had a smile and friendly interaction with our members. I have missed his presence at our meetings.

I first met Jim when he was preaching in Evansville, IN. I was just beginning my ministry and counted him as a good friend. I'm sorry to learn of his death and extend my sympathy to his family.

Jimmy was one of my very favorite cousins. I can remember when he & Laura were teens spending the weekend with them in Oak Ridge. His Mother was my Dad's oldest sister &Dad loved her dearly. Jimmy was truly a man of God and will be missed by not only his family, but his many friends & Church family. In the last few years we only would get to visit at funerals or hospitals. He was an extraordinary human being.
