I was sorry to hear of Joe's death. My heartfelt sympathy to his family.

I remember numerous times when the folks at the original Elks Club would chat and share stories. Joe was one of the most personable people I've met during my lifetime. He was liked by everyone and always had an encouraging word. It was my pleasure to have been acquainted with Joe...I'll never forget him.

Joe I will miss you greatly, but I know you are with Carol and Mom having a grand old time. You are at peace now and you have no more memory problems to deal with. You will be missed by all who loved and knew the real Joe.

Rest in peace Joe. We will miss you opening the door for us at the Elks so many times and for your always signature message of "hey doll, need a ride home." We cherish the long-time friendship we had with you and Carol. So many memories.

We wish to express our sympathy to the family of Joseph and that we are very sorry to hear of his passing. We met Joseph at the Elks Lodge about two years ago. He was the one who opened the door at the Lodge and we miss seeing him. Our daugher Tammy Calvert told us about him and his wife and how he enjoyed coming to the Lodge and visiting with his friends. We will miss him.

I wanted to let everyone know that Joe hired into the Y-12 Protective Force as a Security Guard in the late 1970's. During his time in the department he held many important positions such as Shift Captain and Shift Commander. Joe was liked and respected by many people. He never met a stranger and always had a smile on his face. Joe will be missed by his family and friends.
